How I got to where I am? Taking risks, travelling to the other side of the world, always being open for new experiences, learning new skills all the time, opening doors I didn’t know were there,…? I shifted my mindset. Growing up we learn a lot of limiting beliefs in our Western society. We learn that living basically means going to school, studying, getting a „safe“ (hello Covid19) job, paying the bills. This seems to be the only correct path to follow.Isn’t it weird how most people don’t seem to be too happy doing this?Or should I better say: It’s NOT… Read More »Shift your mindset.
So many of us believe in the misconception of not being “enough” or not having “enough”. It’s so deeply anchored in us, we don’t even question it.I ask you to question it:Can you love yourself right here, right now, and accept yourself with all your imperfections, with the work in progress that you are?Learn to do so and you will realize that you already are enough. Can you appreciate all that you have in your life – love, friendship, health, food,… – are you truly grateful for these things? Learn to do so and you will realize that you already have… Read More »Enough.
Authenticity – a word we see so often on social media but what does it actually mean? Does it mean sharing each and every part of your private life?Posting unedited photos that you may not even like?Sharing your honest opinion on every single topic out there? I guess we all have our very own definition and idea of authenticity but for me it doesn’t have anything to do with any of the above. You don’t have to share everything or post unedited photos if you actually enjoy taking beautiful photos and expressing your creative side through editing. You don’t have to share… Read More »Authenticity – what does it really mean?
After 1,5 years in Australia I finally made it out of the bush and went for a roadtrip along the coast for 3 weeks. I started off driving from my little outback town in Queensland down to Princetown in Victoria which alone took me 2 days as Australia is such a big country and the distances are crazy! I spent one night sleeping in my car in a caravan park in a cute little town called Hillston, NSW. My car is actually pretty comfortable and cozy because it’s big enough to fully stretch out and have enough room, I really… Read More »Australia Coast Road Trip
When being away from your home country for a long time you’ll always carry a bit of homesickness within your heart, no matter where in the world you are. Of course I can only speak for myself here, maybe others feel completely different. I truly do miss Germany (or just Europe in general) all the time after not having been there for almost 14 months now. This doesn’t mean I’m miserable all day long thinking about how much I miss Germany, I don’t even feel sad about not being in Germany. Yes, sometimes when I look through photos from Germany,… Read More »Homesick? What I miss about Germany.
My last days of farmwork in Western Australia have come so I decided to share some of my learnings from this time with you. I’ve had 2 different jobs here. The first one was in the shearing industry, I worked as a rousy in a crutching team which basically means picking up and sorting wool all day long. My second job which I’m still currently in is driving a tractor during seeding season. So here we go.. what farmwork has taught me: It’s never too late to learn something new, it’s possible to work in a job you have no… Read More »What farmwork in Western Australia has taught me.
On Instagram I asked you what topics you’d be interested to read about on my blog and I got a few people asking me about what I’m doing right now, how long I’m gonna stay in Australia, what the plan is. To be honest, there’s not too much going on right now and I’m pretty sure my life looks a lot more interesting online than it actually is, haha. Anyway, here we go.. Where am I right now? After 4 months in Queensland I flew over to Western Australia end of January and right now I still live in a… Read More »Life Update – April 2019
I’ve been pushing off writing this blogpost for quite a while now. I really feel like sharing my experience of living in the Australian outback. On the other hand I’m not too sure what to talk about as there isn’t too much happening out here – unless you travel around a lot maybe which I don’t. I feel that there’s been a lot more happening and changing inside of me than around me. So a lot of what I’ve seen and experienced here is quite personal and I don’t want to talk about everything to be completely honest with you.… Read More »Outback Australia, an unexpected experience.
„How do you afford to travel so much?“ A question I get quite regularly so I’m touching upon this topic as I like to talk openly about these things and I always appreciate it when other people do. First of all: No, I’m not rich, I don’t have rich parents and no one but me pays for my travels. Before doing lots of travelling this year I haven’t really been anywhere for 2 years after my last trip to Morocco in 2016. Back then I finished studying, got a job and stayed in that job (which I hated btw..) for… Read More »How do I afford to travel so much?
[Werbung, da Firmennennung / Advertisement] I already left Bali 3 months ago after staying there from the end of May until the end of August so I’m a bit late but I still wanted to write a blogpost about my experiences in Indonesia, mainly in Canggu, Bali. While being there and also still after I got quite a few questions about how I like it, what I do there, if it’s easy and safe to travel there,.. so I want to share my experiences. Why did I travel to Bali? I actually didn’t plan on staying in Bali that… Read More »About my life in Bali.
