Weekend to me means treating myself to some extra delicious breakfast. So today I had some yummie berry crumble which I decided to name “Bounty Berry Crumble” as it actually tastes like Bounty.. just with berries. In the past I actually ate non-vegan crumble quite often and I used to make it with a lot of butter – which we all know is bad for your health and the animals, right? I’ve already made vegan crumble as well – with vegan butter – but today I decided to try something new as I didn’t have any butter at home anyway. So here we… Read More »Vegan Bounty Berry Crumble – Coconut Heaven
As you might know, I absolutely love tahini! I actually wrote a whole blog post about why I love tahini so much, you can find it here. So because I love my tahini so much, I decided to share a recipe which includes tahini: Creamy Tahini Zoodles with Tofu For 1 portion you will need: 100g natural tofu 2 big zucchinis 50g (whole grain) spaghetti 2tbsp tahini 2tbsp nutritional yeast 1-2 garlic cloves 1tbsp mustard 1tbsp agave syrup salt, pepper water Note: I’m a big fan of zucchini noodles but as they don’t really keep me full, I always mix… Read More »Creamy Tahini Zoodles with Tofu
It’s Sunday! <3 Which means it’s time for pancakes, right? People always ask me for a recipe for my pancakes but honestly I don’t really use any recipe and just put together the ingredients by feeling. Anyway, I decided to measure the ingredients for you today and to write down a little recipe. Probably one of the easiest pancake recipes ever.. For one pancake stack you will need: 1 ripe Banana 100g of your favourite flour 150ml of your favourite plant milk 1tbsp corn starch 1tsp baking powder Mash the banana with a fork and put it in a bowl.… Read More »Pancake Sunday
I have never really been into smoothie bowls or smoothies. I had a smoothie here and there in the past but I wasn’t the biggest fan to be honest. I rather had a big bowl of oatmeal or nicecream than a big smoothie bowl. As I somehow, really don’t know why, developed a love for smoothie bowls this winter, I decided to share with you my favourite smoothie combos. They are all incredibly easy and you probably laugh when reading the “recipe” but as I often get asked for recipes, I decided to share them anyway. Note: of course you can… Read More »My Favourite Smoothie Recipes
Did you know you can make your own juices without a juicer? I don’t own a juicer but I really love green juices, especially after the juice cleanse I did last month. Buying them is pretty expensive plus you can’t even find them in the normal supermarkets around here. That’s the reason why I decided to give making my own juice a go even if I don’t have a blender. Here’s how I did it: Ingredients (for about 1l of juice) 1 banana 2 apples 500g kale 1/2 avocado 1/2 cucumber 1/2 broccoli head 2 handful of spinach 1 tbsp wheatgrass powder Procedure… Read More »Green Juice Recipe – no juicer needed!
Read More »Vegan DIY Advent Calendar
I wasn’t sure if this is actually worth a post but then I decided it is because: So many people complain about French fries being so unhealthy and having lots of calories and fat and that this is the reason they don’t eat them. Good news: You do not have to deny yourself French fries! Potatoes themselves are actually a health food, full of good stuff such as vitamin B6, potassium, vitamin C and fiber. They also contain a variety of phytonutrients that have antioxidant activity. At the same time they are low in calories and contain no cholesterol or fat. French fries… Read More »French fries are unhealthy? Forget about that..
It’s pumpkin season, yay! But.. how do you prepare them for eating without any complicated recipes, you might be asking yourself? Good news: You don’t need a lot of time or crazy kitchen skills for a simple and quick pumpkin meal, that’s why I love them so much. I’m actually pretty lazy when it comes to cooking and don’t like to waste a lot of time in the kitchen that’s why I never use any long recipes for which you need tons of ingredients but rather keep it super simple. So, to give you some inspiration, here are 3 ways in… Read More »Three easy ways to use pumpkin.
I have to admit that I am obsessed, obsessed with tahini. For those of you who might wonder “What even is tahini?”: Tahini simply is sesame butter. You can either buy it or make it at home yourself, I always buy it. As a tip: Look if you can find some shop where you can buy it cheaper as it can be pretty expensive in regular supermarkets. I always get mine from a Turkish supermarket. So, what is so good about tahini? First of all: Tahini tastes amazing, as simple as that. It is rich in protein, vitamin E, B… Read More »Why I love tahini and you should, too.
Vegans can’t have icecream, right? Wrong, they can! And not only some expensive and often unhealthy soy or coconut icecream that you can find in some shops (not saying you can’t have them as well, of course 😉 ). I guess some of you may have already heard of banana icecream/nicecream. Btw, it’s called nicecream because it’s a crueltyfree and no cows have to suffer for it. 🙂 I haven’t really been in the mood for it for a while because of winter. As this winter is way too warm though here in Germany, I just started to get it back… Read More »Banana Icecream aka Nicecream.
