Liebster Award – Questions & Answers

I got nominated by Sandra from Lana Lifestyle to join in the “Liebster Award”. <3 It’s a German blogger game but I decided to give the answers in German and English as a lot of my readers don’t understand German. I’ll start with English, you can find German below. What makes you happy? There are so many things but I think it’s mainly the small non-materialistic things: a good book, beautiful music, nature, running, surfing, animals, doing something for others, feeling loved, delicious food.. If there was one thing you could change about yourself, what would it be? I would…

Surfing & Citylife in Morocco

After my first trip to Morocco earlier this year, I went back to this country again for 2 weeks this month. Last time I visited the rural area in the South but this time I went to Casablanca and Rabat. Rabat is the capital of Morocco. Why Morocco again? There are 3 reasons for this: 1. I fell in love with this country the last time. 2. I wanted to go surfing again which is possible there. 3. One of the surf instructors I knew from the last time asked me if I wanted to visit again and to take surf…

Face your fears to grow.

“Thinking will not overcome fear but action will.” – W. Clement Stone I personally experienced that this is so true. I have always been one of those persons being afraid of a lot of things: Failure, rejection, extreme sports, spiders,.. I guess it’s also because I’m one of those people that are always overthinking everything. I’m actually really proud of myself though. I feel that I got so much better at dealing with my fears. Let me share a little story with you: As you can see from my last blog post, I recently had been on a trip to…

Surfing in Morocco

I spent the last 2 weeks in Morocco at Deep Curl Surf Camp and just want to tell you a little bit about my trip.. First of all: I did this trip on my own. I always wanted to visit Morocco but not alone as a woman. Then I had the idea of going to a surfcamp so I won’t be all on my own. I wanted to try out surfing again anyway because it’s such a beautiful sport and because I wanted to challenge myself a little with trying to overcome my fear of waves. When I started my trip I…

No accommodation? No problem.

The first time (seems I had many first times within the last years 😉 ) I went on vacation without booking an accommodation was 2013 when I went to Tenerife with my boyfriend. Well, okay, we booked one but just for 2 days via airbnb. We stayed in Puerto de la Cruz for 2 days and I really enjoyed it because I had never lived in a big city like this before so it was really exciting to have a room right in the center. The only thing that was a little annoying was that it took such a long time to…

How my second time at the ocean made me a surfer.

Just kidding, it didn’t. 😀 Like I mentioned in my post about Portugal, I wanted to take surfing classes. So 2012 I went to Bretagne/France together with my boyfriend and we booked classes for beginners. I took two weeks, he took one. He already was able to surf but not that well so he decided it couldn’t harm to learn more about the right technique. I was quite happy because so I didn’t have to go there on my own with all my excitement. We stayed at a campground again but this time we had a small bungalow which was…

How my first time at the ocean made me a runner.

The first time ever I got to see the Atlantic ocean (or any ocean) was in 2011 in Portugal. It was also just my second flight ever and the first and so far only time I was flying alone. My boyfriend stayed in Portugal for 4 weeks and I joined for the last 2 weeks because sadly I couldn’t take more time off from work. We stayed in a small tepee at a campground in Ericeira because I don’t really like tents too much and it was really cheap.
